This painting was showcased in the Malaysia-Japan Festival 2022.
‘Chanoyu’, also known as the ‘tea ceremony’, is tradition that has been practice for many generations in Japan. However, the actual translation of the word ‘Chanoyu’ actually means ‘hot water for tea’. This ceremony has a unique ritual that takes into account many elements, such as oneness and respect, with every single movement and tools used during the tea ceremony carrying very significant meaning.
